Family, school, work, friends, there are so many things that keep us busy. Do you know that God calls busy people to do God’s work. David was busy tending sheep, Elisha was busy plowing the fields, Peter and Andrew were busy casting nets.
God calls those who are productive and faithful to what they do because those who are not productive for ordinary work, are usually also not productive in serving God. Let’s be loyal and productive in the work that we have. If you are a student, study well and be a diligent student. If you are an employee, be a reliable employee. Master the skills you need to do your work. If you are a housewife, learn how to serve your family lovingly.
Each of us believers is called to be part of God’s work, and being able to take part in God’s ministry and work is a privilege because we are chosen and used by God. If you humble yourself and are willing to fulfill His calling, use all the knowledge and skills you have for God. Have the right attitude when you become “busy for God.” [EH]
