We always have opinions. We always have thoughts. We also always have a lot of words to say. Most of the times, we are too fast and too much in speaking what is our mind, and If we are not careful with our words, it can cause problems. So, before you utter what is in your head, pause and ask yourself these 3 questions: Are my words true? Should I say them? Will my words bring goodness?
Too often we provide justification for harsh criticism and annoy people with the belief that the truth must be conveyed. Imagine you are driving a car with your family. Suddenly there was a car cutting in front of you. Do you need to say a negative comment about someone who was made in God’s image and whom you have never met? Would that be a good example for your children? Our words should be used to motivate and encourage others. Please remember, the words that come out of your mouth cannot be undone. Therefore, involve your brain before you use your mouth to talk. Honor God with every word you say. Organize your thoughts and opinions according to God’s words. [EH]
